Condolences Eric Sullivan

Brother Eric Sullivan, 59, died September 17, 2023. He was a 34 year member of New Carlisle Lodge.

Obituary:
Eric Wayne Sullivan, Sr., 59 of Springfield, Ohio, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Sunday, September 17, 2023 after a recent and sudden illness at Springfield Regional Medical Center. Baptized when he was younger, he followed Christian teachings throughout his life.

Born in Springfield, he started his days in South Charleston with his brother, Steven, and parents, Lyle and Patricia Sullivan. Upon moving to Springfield, another brother, Kevin, added to the family.

Eric attended Rockway elementary and Shawnee high school graduating with the class of 1982. As a teenager, he was a member of The Boy Scouts Of America, Troop 150, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. His early years working began at McDonald’s and Bill Knapp’s restaurants. Moving away, Eric became a teller at The First National Bank of Troy and was later promoted to a loan officer. After his banking years, he even pursued a short stent in Heating & Air Conditioning work! Seeking an adventure, he embarked on a professional career in law-enforcement after graduating from Clark State Community College. Ultimately, Eric served Clark County, Ohio as a deputy sheriff for 24 years, rising to the rank of sergeant. He loved his family and enjoyed telling stories with a passion usually with a big bold cup of coffee in hand! Additionally, he was a proud 34 year member of The New Carlisle Masonic Lodge #100 F. & A.M. raised July 27, 1989.

Eric leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Patricia; brother Steven and wife JoAnn; brother Kevin and wife Shawna; and sons, Adam Lyle and Eric Wayne, Jr.; grandchildren, Austin and Reagan Sullivan; stepchildren, Daryl and Jenna Caudill; and a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanette Sullivan (Lower); and father, Lyle Dwight Sullivan. His deep, bellowing voice will be greatly missed by his many other nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws as our days pass.

A private memorial gathering of family and friends will be held September 30, 12-4:00 p.m. at the Northridge Lion’s Club, Springfield, Ohio.

John 11:25-26. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.”
